    The Government is continuing its work to enhance the local sports infrastructure as well as create opportunities for local athletes to thrive in their chosen disciplines through its technical partnership on sports cooperation with the People’s Republic of China. Under the partnership Jamaican athletes which is in its second year, coaches and managers have the opportunity to visit China to receive specialised training in seven disciplines, namely swimming, synchronised swimming, badminton, gymnastics, volleyball, football and basketball.
