When yu think of Jamaican films, what names readily come to mind? Chances are Shottas, Third World Cop, Dancehall Queen, classics like Perry Henzel’s ‘The Harder They Come’ tend to characterize the genre.

Traditionally explored themes usually involve sexuality, guns, drugs: criminality in general, and let’s not forget the gritty underside of the entertainment industry. For the past few weeks, we’ve been diving into the intricate flavours of a Jamaican film product. One with a few familiar faces, but with a different take on relatable stories that beg to be told!
