Radiance of the Seas Makes Inaugural Visit to Jamaica

The Royal Caribbean Cruise Line vessel, ‘Radiance of the Seas’ made its first official call to the island on December 1, when it docked at the Ocho Rios pier in St. Ann with some 2,500 passengers on board.
Tourism officials, led by Director General in the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, Carole Guntley-Brady and members of the St. Ann business community, were on hand to greet the vessel. A welcome reception followed on board the ship, which saw a presentation of artwork being made to ship caption Kent Ringborn, who in turn presented plaques on behalf of the crew.
“This is actually our second call. We have tried once before but it was not official. However, we are here today and this time it is official,” Captain Ringborn, told JIS News.
The reception was followed by a tour of the various decks and culminated with a luncheon in the Windjammer Caf
