The Government of Jamaica has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development towards the cost of the RURAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE (REDI) PROJECT, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to cover payments under the contract for the following:

1. Consultancy Firm to Provide Capacity Building for Parish Incubators (Agro-Processing Facilities).

Scope: The selected Consultancy Firm will be required to provide training to adult learners involved in the Management and Operation of Agro-Processing Facilities and Agro-Processing/commercial food preparation.
Areas of training to be covered will include, inter alia, supply chain security and traceability, occupational health and safety, general manufacturing practice, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), sanitation and pest control, food safety management system, packaging and product labelling, record keeping, formula calibration, production of juices, sauces, syrups, jams, preserves and spreads; packing, batch sizing, sanitation and food safety.
