Press Release- His Excellency Sir Patrick Allen to Formally Return to Duties

The Office of the Governor-General advises that His Excellency the Most Honourable Sir Patrick Allen, ON, GCMG, CD, KSt.J, will formally resume his official duties following a leave of absence while recovering from surgery.

During His Excellency’s absence, The Honourable Steadman Fuller, CD, JP, Custos Rotulorum of Kingston, deputised for the Governor-General from December 16, 2024, ensuring the seamless continuation of official responsibilities.

Custos Fuller’s period of service in this capacity concludes on Friday, February 14, 2025, and the Governor-General expresses sincere appreciation for his dedication and service to the nation during this time.

Sir Patrick will be in office on Monday, February 17, 2025, as he resumes the full execution of his duties.
