Portia Simpson Miller in conversation with Head of Delegation for the European Union, Her Excellency Paola Amadei during a courtesy call (March 13) at the Office of the Prime Minister where Ambassador Amadei congratulated Jamaica for reducing the population of juveniles in State care. The Prime Minister in thanking the EU and UNICEF for providing technical and financial support to the Reducing Juvenile Population in State-supported Institutions Project proposed that increased interaction between children in State care and their parents and counseling for both parties be implemented as part of the project.
