Launch of Workers Week and Labour Day 2014

Noel Arscott, Minister of Local Government and Community Development during the launch of Workers Week and Labour Day 2014 on Wednesday, May 7 at Jamaica House. Minister Kellier delivered the Prime Minister’s address. Workers Week (May 18-23) and Labour Day (May 23) is being observed under the theme ‘Take A Stand…Beautify Our Land’. The National Labour Day Project will be at the Climate Change Park in Portmore while the parish projects will focus on the renovation of police stations across the island.
