PM Golding to Address National Planning Summit

Prime Minister, Hon. Bruce Golding, will address the opening session of a two-day National planning Summit set for November 2-4 at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Montego Bay. The summit is being hosted by the government in association with the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) and Price WaterhouseCoopers.
Presented under the theme ‘Jamaica Tomorrow’, the National Planning Summit will bring together a broad coalition of senior government ministers under the leadership of Prime Minister Bruce Golding, local and international private sector leaders, leading public sector representatives and Non-Government Organisations (NGOs). The parties will be examining a shared national vision for the future, action required to bring the vision to life and the specific initiatives that will ensure the success of the plan.
The overall objective of the summit is to arrive at a consensus on the critical initiatives that will drive economic growth and sustainable development for Jamaica.
Other presenters will include: the Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister, the Hon. James Robertson; President of the PSOJ, Chris Zacca; Director General of the Planning Institute of Jamaica, Dr Wesley Hughes; Stuart Hart from the International Development Bank; and head of the Office of National Reconstruction, the Hon. Kingsley Thomas.
