PM Expresses Condolence at Death of Pakistan Cricket Coach

Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Portia Simpson Miller, has expressed sadness at the sudden death this morning of the manager and coach of the Pakistan cricket team, Bob Woolmer.
Mr. Woolmer was found unconscious in his hotel room at the Jamaica Pegasus and was rushed to the University Hospital of the West Indies, where he was pronounced dead.
“A dark shadow has been cast on the ICC Cricket Word Cup and our hearts go out to the family of Mr. Woolmer and the Pakistan cricket team,” the Prime Minister said.
She said that the authorities are treating the matter with much importance and the government stands ready to offer any assistance and support, which may be necessary at this time.
