Minister of Transport and Mining, Hon. Robert Montague (third left), cuts the ribbon to symbolise the official opening of a pilot lounge at the Tinson Pen Aerodrome in St. Andrew on Thursday (May 16). Others pictured (from left) are Deputy Mayor of Kingston, Winston Ennis; Custos of Clarendon, William Shagoury; Member of Parliament for South West St. Andrew, Dr. Angela Brown-Burke; President and Chief Executive Officer of the Airports Authority of Jamaica (AAJ), Audley Deidrick; and Captain Denver Ennis of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF). Mr. Montague has mandated that all Jamaican aerodromes be fitted with a pilot lounge as part of continued efforts to transform Jamaica’s transportation sector into a world-class industry. This is the first of the new lounges to be officially opened by the Minister.

The Minister officially opened the lounge during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday (May 16).
