Patterson makes Farewell National Broadcast Tonight

Outgoing Prime Minister P.J. Patterson will make his farewell address to the country tonight (March 29), during a national broadcast at 8:00 p.m.
The Prime Minister’s address will be aired on all radio stations at 8:00 p.m., Television Jamaica (TVJ) at 8:00 p.m., Love TV at 8:00 p.m. and CVM at 9:00 p.m.
Mr. Patterson will speak on his stewardship as Prime Minister for the past 14 years and outline many of the country’s achievements during his time as Head of the Government.
He will retire from office tomorrow (March 30), at which time Prime Minister designate, Portia Simpson Miller will be sworn in as the seventh Prime Minister of independent Jamaica. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at King’s House beginning at 5:00 p.m.
