Palace Amusement Company Partners with Education Ministry

Palace Amusement Company, has partnered with the Ministry of Education, to host a movie special on Thursday, November 13, in celebration of Parent Month.
Marketing Manager of the company, Melaine Graham, made the disclosure to JIS News in an interview, and appealed to parents to support the initiative and use the time to bond with their children.
“I would like to invite all parents to bring their children to the movie – ‘Madagascar-Escape 2 Africa’. It’s a really great movie for children. They thoroughly enjoy it and we would love to have the parents there too, to share and be a part of the experience with their children. We think it’s very important,” she emphasised.
According to Miss Graham, the movie is being shown in all Palace Amusement outlets islandwide.
“[The movie] is being shown at all our cinemas, that is, Carib, Cross Roads; Cineplex, Sovereign Centre; Multiplex, Montego Bay and Odeon in Mandeville. Both shows, the matinee and evening show, have slightly different times at the various theatres, but you can buy an adult ticket and the child is free,” she informed.
“It’s a way of sharing with them and it’s important that parents know what their children are exposed to, and if there is anything that the child may want to ask and the parent has seen it, you can have a discussion about it. It’s a way of being together with your child and sharing that experience with them,” Miss Graham said.
At Carib and Odeon, the matinee is scheduled to start between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., while the evening show will start at about 8:30 p.m. At Cineplex and Multiplex, the scheduled start for the matinee is between 5:45 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., while the evening show should start between 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
The Marketing Manager explained that the Parent Month movie special complements the theme of Parent Month – ‘Parenting.Right from the Start’.
“It is important that parents are always there for their children. We are trying to encourage parents, not to drop off their children and leave them, but to be there with them.this is really to encourage the parents to be a part of their child’s growing up and entertainment,” she pointed out.
