The mobile unit of the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) is slated to conduct a series of outreach meetings in Westmoreland and Hanover beginning on Tuesday, October 25.
Compliance Field Officer with the ORC, Keith Andrade told JIS News that on Tuesday and Wednesday the team would be at the Hotel Commingle, which is located at 7 Hudson Street in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland.
“On Thursday the mobile unit will move on to Mariners Negril Beach Club on the Norman Manley Boulevard and the very next day we should be in Lucea at the office of the parish council,” he said.
Mr. Andrade said that all individuals actively engaged in business should register in keeping with the law.
“Company directors, managers, secretaries and accountants should take advantage of this opportunity to file outstanding annual returns and company documents. Remember to present your company’s TRN and individual tax registration numbers and of course up to three certified passport size photographs,” he said.
“Given the recent amendments to the Company’s Act, it is now very easy for one to register as a small sole trader, partnership or even a company. Our staff will be on hand to lend whatever help that you may require to properly file your documents,” Mr. Andrade added.
