The Ministry of Health says that of the fourteen passengers admitted to hospital following Tuesday’s night’s accident at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA), only one person remains in hospital.
According to a release from the Ministry, the reports it has received revealed that 100 injured passengers were seen at hospitals in Kingston and St. Andrew.
“The number reflects eight (8) additional passengers as the previous number recorded was ninety two (92). There have been no reported deaths or life threatening injuries,” the release said.
The passengers were injured when an American Airlines’ aircraft overshot the NMIA runway on Tuesday (December 22) at approximately 10:25pm. The flight was coming from Miami USA.
