NWA to Repair Roads in Clarendon, Manchester and St. Elizabeth

The National Works Agency (NWA) will be undertaking road repair work in the parishes of Clarendon, Manchester and St. Elizabeth, starting Monday(Nov. 26).
Communication Officer for the NWA, Howard Hendricks, told JIS News that the work will entail patching a number of major roads, which were damaged during the heavy rains over the last six weeks.
Targeted areas in Clarendon include the corridors from Whitney Turn to Four Paths, Free Town to Four Paths, Kellits to St. John’s, Soursop Turn to Danks, May Pen to Hayes, Freetown to Alley and Jacob Hut to Foga Road.
The roadways that will be patched in Manchester are: Greenvale to Spur Tree, Kendal to Clark’s Town, Caines Shop to High Gate Hall, Walderston to Grantham, Williamsfield to Mile Gully, Skull Point to Caines Shop, Oxford to Troy, Dump to Craighead, Gutters to Alligator Pond, Woodstock to Cedar Grove, Mizpah to Bellefield and Pusey Hill to Restore.
The thoroughfares in St. Elizabeth that are slated to be fixed are: Gutters to Tombstone, Tombstone to Scott’s Cove, the Santa Cruz Bypass, Lacovia to Mountainside, Lacovia to Vauxhall, Pisgah to Ginger Hill, Redgate to Washfoot Gully, Scott’s Cove to Luana, Malvern to Mountainside, Claremount Park to Malvern Well, Middle Quarters to Jacks Gate, and Black River to Pedro Cross.
“The NWA is appealing to all road users, especially motorists, to obey all the signs that are posted as well as the instructions of the flagmen,” Mr. Hendricks advised.
