National Labour Day Thanksgiving Service May 15

Co-ordinator of the National Gospel Song Competition, Heidi Leith told JIS News that the service symbolized the week of Labour Day activities, which culminate on Labour Day (May 23).
“The service is for everybody, as it is a thanksgiving for the efforts and labour for all those persons who have worked hard. We are saying thanks to God for the opportunity to be able to use our labour… and to continue to bless the society at large,” she added.
Expected at this year’s service are Maxine Henry-Wilson, Minister of Education, Youth and Culture; Horace Dalley, Minister of Labour and Social Security; Dr. Paul Robertson, Minister of Development and Member of Parliament for St. Catherine South East.
