The National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association of America (MFDNA) will host their annual conference at the Half Moon Resort in Montego Bay on April 24-27, 2004.
In an interview with JIS News Sharon Seay, Executive Director of the MFDNA, spoke of the group’s high expectations for the upcoming conference.
“We hope to expand our relationship with our brothers and sisters worldwide and we are excited about getting to know our overseas colleagues,”Ms. Seay stated.
She added: “We are looking forward to opening the lines of communication, participating in a forum where we can all exchange information and ideas thereby building strong working relationships with our colleagues in Jamaica.”
Reuel Madden, Acting President of Jamaica’s Funeral Directors Association and owner of Madden’s Funeral Homes, is expected to make a detailed presentation about Jamaican funeral customs.
Over 200 funeral directors from the United States and Jamaica will be participating in this four-day long conference.
