The Full Story

Member of Parliament for North Western St. Elizabeth, Hon. J.C. Hutchinson, says 12 parish council roads in his constituency have been repaired since June 2016.

“Two major roadways are currently being rehabilitated. The Middle Quarters to New Market Road is being repaired, and the Arcadia to Maggotty roadway is also under rehabilitation,” Mr. Hutchinson said, as he made his contribution to the 2017/18 Constituency Debate in the House of Representatives on October 31.

He noted that when completed, these roads will allow residents to travel more easily and comfortably across the constituency.

Meanwhile, Mr. Hutchinson also informed that the National Water Commission (NWC) has come on board to provide piped water to a significant portion of the New Market division.

“The NWC is currently laying pipes to supply piped water to New Market, Lewisville, Prospect, Brighton, Content and surrounding areas,” he noted.
