Minister Robinson Attends OAS Meeting

Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator the Hon. Dr. Ronald Robinson will lead Jamaica’s delegation to the 38th Regular Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States,(OAS) 1st June to 3rd June, in Medellin, Colombia.
Minister Robinson departed the island today (Saturday) for the meeting which is being held as the OAS marks its 60th anniversary. Other members of the delegation will be, HE Anthony Johnson, Ambassador to the OAS and officials of Jamaica’s Permanent Mission to the OAS.
Matters to be discussed include issues of importance to the hemisphere and challenges facing the region. Ministers and Heads of delegation will also meet with members of civil society, the private sector and Permanent Observers to the OAS. The will exchange views on advancing the OAS agenda.
Minister Robinson will also hold bilateral talks in the margins of the general meeting on matters of interest to Jamaica.
