Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Hon. Dr. Kenneth Baugh, has announced the appointment of Mr. A’Dale Robinson, career Foreign Service Officer, as Ambassador to the Republic of Cuba.
Mr. Robinson is expected to take up office early next year (in January 2009). He succeeds Ambassador Elinor Sherlock, whose tour of duty will shortly come to an end.
Mr. Robinson currently is the Director of the Caribbean and Americas Department in the Ministry, which has responsibility for the management of Jamaica’s relations with Caribbean countries and regional and hemispheric organisations.
