Lucea Hospital gets Foodstuff and Cleaning Items

Governor-General, His Excellency the Most Hon. Professor Kenneth Hall, yesterday (June 25) presented several boxes of foodstuff along with a large quantity of cleaning and disinfecting products to the Noel Holmes Hospital in Lucea, Hanover.
At the brief presentation ceremony held at the hospital, Professor Hall explained that the items were donated by Lascelles Chin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lasco Group of Companies, and friend of Lucea.
While not disclosing the monetary value of the gift, the Governor-General said that the items should be of great value to the hospital.
The Governor-General, who is a son of Hanover, urged the hospital staff to continue to provide excellent service to the residents of the parish.
Director of Nursing Services, Denise Malcolm, who accepted the gift on behalf of the hospital, expressed gratitude for the items, adding that both patients and staff stood to benefit.
Describing the donation as a contribution towards the well-being of the residents of the parish, she said it is always good when the private sector donates to government institutions.
