JUTC Gets New Board

Cabinet yesterday (January 22), received a submission from Minister of Housing, Transport, Water and Works, Robert Pickersgill, for the appointment of a new Board for the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC).
The new Board will be chaired by Former Financial Secretary, Shirley Tyndall.
This was announced by Minister of Information and Development, Donald Buchanan, at the post-Cabinet press briefing held at Jamaica House.
Other members of the Board include: Dr. Judith Robinson, Sterling Suarez, Robert Gregory, Hugh Graham, Senior Superintendent Elan Powell, Dr. Lerie Myers, Valerie Robinson, Ray Barrett, Sylvester Anderson, Councillor Basil Gordon; a representative from the Ministry of Finance and Planning; a representative from the Ministry of Housing, Transport, Water and Works; and Reverend Courtney Golding. A youth representative will be named shortly.
The Minister pointed out that the new Board would operate for a period of three years.
