Johnson Calls On OAS to Address Special Needs of Small States

Jamaica’s new Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS), Ambassador Anthony Johnson has called on the hemispheric community to take into account the “vulnerabilities and special needs of small island states.”
He said that the countries should forge a consensus, within the Inter-American system, that would enable states, like Jamaica, to confront the significant trans-national challenges that confront them.
