JIS News

Chairman of the Jamaica Information Service’s (JIS) Advisory Board, Neville James, has expressed great sadness at the passing of JIS Board member, Mrs. Jean Lewis.
Mr. James described Mrs. Lewis as a dedicated and an active Board member, who was steadfast in her commitment to making the JIS the best that it could be.
“She was very generous with her advice and expertise and more importantly, was prepared to go beyond the call of duty to help the JIS. We are going to miss her very much,” he said.
Sharing similar sentiments with the Board Chairman, Chief Executive Officer of the JIS, Mrs. Donna Marie Rowe, also expressed sadness at the untimely passing of Mrs. Lewis.
“I recall the last Advisory Board meeting she attended in July where she was complimentary in her remarks about the JIS and its operations. Her active participation will be sadly missed,” Mrs. Rowe said.
Mrs. Lewis, who was also a former employee of the JIS, was the Managing Director of Lindo FCB and sat on the current executive of the Advertising Agencies Association of Jamaica (AAAJ), died in her sleep over the weekend. She was 69 years old.
