The Full Story

The Jamaica Employers' Federation (JEF) will be hosting a CEO Breakfast on Wednesday (September 12) at the Wyndham Kingston hotel beginning at 7:30 a.m.

The session is part of activities to mark National Employers’ Month, which is being observed this September. Guest speaker for the breakfast session will be Dr. Pierre Somse of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS in Jamaica  (UNAIDS), who will speak on creating a healthy environment in the workplace.

"This breakfast meeting is to provide another opportunity for our members and potential members to meet over breakfast to network and share best practices within the organisation and workplace environment," said Chief Executive Officer of the JEF, Brenda Cuthbert.

She said that the JEF has been hosting the breakfast series for the past four years in Kingston, and there are discussions on the possibility of having similar meetings in Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.

Other activities for National Employers’ Month include courtesy calls on the Governor-General, Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition, members of the diplomatic corps and business associations; outreach activities and discussion fora.
