Governor-General Leaves for Florida Tomorrow

Governor-General, His Excellency the Most Hon. Sir Howard Cooke leaves the island tomorrow (October 22) for Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the United States.
Sir Howard will be in Florida until October 24, and while there he will attend the Annual Fund-raising Dinner Banquet of the Caribbean American Medical Educational Organisation.
During his absence, Custos of Kingston, Canon Weeville Gordon will serve as Deputy Governor-General.Sir Howard will be accompanied by his Aide-de-Camp, Captain Mahatma Williams.
