Leader of the Opposition, the Most Hon. Portia Simpson Miller, seems to be enjoying the company of Minister of National Security, Senator the Hon. Dwight Nelson, on her left, and His Worship the Mayor of Kingston, Senator Desmond McKenzie, on her right, during today’s ( July 4) Floral Tribute to the late National Hero, the Rt. Excellent Norman Manley, put on by the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission(JCDC) at National Heroes Park. Seated behind them are President of the Senate, Hon. Oswald Harding, partly hidden at right, and Ronald Thwaites, Member of Parliament for Central Kingston. Mr. Manley was born on July 4, 1893.

Excellent Norman Manley, at National Heroes Park today (July 4), in celebration of the 116th anniversary of Mr. Manley’s birth. The event was staged by the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC).

Governor-General, His Excellency the Most Hon. Sir Patrick Allen, lays a wreath at the monument for the late National Hero, the Rt. Excellent Norman Manley, at National Heroes Park today (July 4, 2009), the 116th anniversary of Mr. Manley’s birth. The occasion was a floral tribute put on by the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC).
