Eye Screening Sessions Start September 2

Eye screening sessions under the Jamaica/Cuba Eyecare Programme will resume in Kingston on Thursday, September 2.
Sessions will be held every Thursday in the month of September (September 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30) at the National Chest Hospital, and will begin at 8.30 a.m. each day.
Approximately 80 persons are expected to be screeened and selected from each session. The three eye conditions for which screenings will be conducted are: Cataracts, Pterygium and Diabetic Retinopathy.
The Ministry is reminding persons that the programme is not able at this time to offer assistance to persons seeking treatment for conditions other than the three outlined. Persons are asked to take a valid ID to each session.
The Public is also advised to continue to monitor the media for upcoming screening activities.
