April 17, 2010

The Full Story

A one-day exhibition of Caribbean products and services dubbed ‘Expressions of the Caribbean’ will be held on April 30 in South Florida.
The event, slated for the Signature Grand in Davie, will bring together more than 30 Caribbean-owned businesses involved in food production, services, retail, distribution, and import/export agents.
Participants will have the opportunity to network with potential clients and agents, improve the visibility and marketing of their product, as well as create lasting business relationships.
Event organiser Mrs. Elizabeth Burns, said that the expo is expected to attract a large gathering. “Currently, we have (interest from) a large selection of different kinds of businesses representing the uniqueness of the Caribbean,” she told JIS News.
Mrs. Burns, who owns event marketing company Unique Creations by Liz, Inc., further explained that the business exposition will increase awareness of the wide range of products and services, especially exotic foods, from the region. This kind of exposure, she said, will create opportunities for trade and investment.
She noted that the growing Caribbean Diaspora in South Florida has shown an increased demand for products from the Caribbean region.
Participants will include small and medium-sized businesses as well as larger corporations.
