Dengue Prevention Week Postponed

Due to the inclement weather, the Ministry of Health and Environment has postponed the national activities organized to observe November 2 – 4, 2007 as Dengue Prevention Weekend.
All national activities planned for this period, with the exception of the annual Healthy Lifestyle Festival, have been rescheduled for November 9 – 11.
The annual Healthy Lifestyle Festival will go on as planned on November 4 at the Emancipation Park starting at 9.00 a.m. Among the day’s highlights will be educational displays and interactive activities on Dengue prevention, free health checks, nutrition screening, and healthy lifestyle awareness booths. A concert featuring Tarrus Riley and Digicel Rising Star winners will also be major attractions of the festival.
Where the local circumstances permit, some dengue prevention activities organized at the parish level will proceed as planned on November 2 – 3, 2007.
