September 13, 2010

The Full Story

The Ministry of Education will host a community consultation at Church Teachers’ College, in Manchester, on September 14, to update the public on the proposed high school to be built on Villa Road, in Mandeville.
Representatives from the Education Ministry’s technical department will provide details of the specifications of the new school, and members of the public will get an opportunity to voice their opinions about the new facility.
Construction of the new building will create additional space for high school students in Mandeville and surrounding areas, and generate employment and business opportunities for a significant number of local residents.
This school is part of the strategic planning to address the long term needs of the education system, and will accommodate 900 students.
The facility will be constructed in such a manner as to provide full access to physically challenged persons.
