The winner of the 21st Commonwealth Writers’ Prize will be announced in Jamaica on May 27, 2007 at the Calabash International Literary Festival.The festival will be held in Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth from Friday, May 25 to Sunday, May 27.
An annual award of the Commonwealth Foundation, the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize has become an increasingly valued and sought-after award for fiction. It rewards the best Commonwealth fiction written in English, by both established and new writers, and takes their works to a global audience.
