BOJ Says Operations Not Affected by Changes

The Bank of Jamaica, in a release on Tuesday (November 03), has assured the public that recent developments at the bank have not affected its day-to-day operations.
The release from the BOJ said:
The public will by now be aware, that the Hon. Derick Latibeaudiere, O.J. demitted office as Governor of the Bank of Jamaica on Friday, 30 October 2009. As advised by the Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Hon. Audley Shaw, Mrs. Audrey Anderson, Senior Deputy Governor, Bank of Jamaica assumed responsibility for the Bank as of Monday, 02 November 2009.
The Minister also announced that Mr. Brian Wynter, who currently serves as Advisor on Capital Markets at the Caribbean Regional Technical Assistance Centre (CARTAC) in Barbados, has been appointed Governor of the Bank of Jamaica, and will assume office on 01 December 2009.
The Bank of Jamaica wishes to assure the public that these changes will in no way affect the day-to-day operations of the Central Bank.
