The 22-year old sprinter, through his YBAfraid Foundation, has joined with the Jamaica Information Service (JIS) in supporting the home, which the agency adopted in 2009.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the JIS, Donna-Marie Rowe, informed that Blake came on board last year.

She explained that the agency was able to link with Blake through the Joseph’s department store, which has been a key sponsor of the agency’s efforts at Mount Olivet.

"There’s a link between Yohan Blake and the (Joseph’s) management and they put us on to Yohan and the YBAfraid Foundation. Yohan, with his management team, visited the Mount Olivet Boy’s Home with us and gave the boys gifts. They were just so excited to have met this athletic star,” Mrs. Rowe said.

The JIS CEO said Blake, through his YBAfraid Foundation, has pledged to continue the partnership with the JIS in providing support and mentorship to the boys at the home.
