‘Best Dressed Fest’ to Benefit Communities Across the Island

As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, Jamaica Broilers Group will be staging a series of gospel festivals and outreach programmes to benefit communities across the island.
Dubbed ‘Best Dressed 50 Fest,’ the initiative, which is being undertaken at a cost of some US$1million, will feature gospel concerts in Mandeville, Montego Bay and Kingston.
Approximately 70 medical professionals will be volunteering their services, while several sports personalities will be holding sports clinics in some schools. The festival organizers will also be embarking on several community projects over the duration of the event.
Speaking at the press launch at the Wexford Hotel in Montego Bay on Tuesday (April 8), President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jamaica Broilers Group, Robert Levy, said that the programme is “just our way of saying thanks Jamaica.”
The Mandeville leg of the festival will be held at Manchester High School on April 26 and 27; on May 2 and 3 at the Dump Up Beach in Montego Bay; while the Kingston leg will take place on the grounds of King’s House on May 3 and 4.
“We are now filled with expectation and anticipation that our investment will change the personal lives of thousands, help to unite the church, and have a significant impact for good not only at the three venues that are hosting these events, but across our country,” he stated.
President of the Jamaica Association of Evangelicals and Co-Chair of the Festival Oversight Committee, Peter Garth, said that the ‘Best Dressed 50 Fest’ is endorsed by umbrella church groups representing more than 90 per cent of the churches in the country.
