Back-to-School Conference for Principals Aug. 25

The Ministry of Education will host its Regional Back-to-School Principals’ Conference at the Mandeville based deCarteret College, on August 25, beginning 9:00 a.m.
The event will be held under the theme: ‘Effective Leadership: Excellent Schools’, with Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Audrey Sewell delivering the keynote address.
Chief Education Officer, Grace McLean will give an update on the Education Transformation Programme, and Regional Director, Vincent Guthrie, will give the State of the Region report.
More than 200 principals from public and private educational institutions are expected to be in attendance, and they will be using the opportunity to share information on the preparation for the new school term.
