Air Jamaica Announces Miami-Grenada Service

Grenada’s tourism industry is expecting a big boost in time for the winter season, with the start of new Air Jamaica flights from Miami, beginning November 4.George deMercado, the carrier’s Vice President of Sales, announced that the airline had adjusted its schedule to provide convenient flights between Miami and Grenada with a short connection in Montego Bay.
The service will operate four days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, using an Airbus A-320 aircraft with 138 seats in economy and 12 in executive business class.
Mr. DeMercado said that the new service will complement existing direct Air Jamaica flights, which also serve Grenada from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on the same four days.
He commended Grenada’s newly appointed Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Dr. Clarice Modeste-Curwen and her team, for their vision in making the service a reality.
In the meantime, the Vice President of Sales said that, “Air Jamaica is committed to offering even smoother travel arrangements to and from the Caribbean region.”
“The strategic importance of the Eastern Caribbean continues to be a priority for Air Jamaica,” he stated, noting that the airline plans to announce even more innovations to its schedule to boost tourism to these island nations in the weeks ahead.
