Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Andrew Holness (right), is greeted by Chairman, National Gallery of Jamaica, Tom Tavares-Finson, on his arrival at the gallery’s downtown Kingston headquarters on Wednesday (May 31), to sign the condolence book for late former Chief Curator and art aficionado, Dr. David Boxer, who passed away on May 28 after a long illness. Dr. Boxer was one of the leading art scholars in the Caribbean region and arguably the most noted authority on Jamaican art, particularly the work of Edna Manley, intuitive art and early Jamaican photography.
