44 Graduate from Cornwall School of Nursing

The country’s health sector has been boosted with the recent graduation of 44 general nursing and basic midwifery students from the Cornwall School of Nursing.
Addressing the graduating ceremony held recently at King’s Seventh Day Adventist Church in Mt. Salem, St. James, Rev. Everton Jackson, Pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in Montego Bay, urged the graduates to use their newly acquired skills for the benefit of ordinary Jamaicans.
“The certificate that you have received today, the uniform that you will wear, the job that you will hold, should be interpreted as a glorious opportunity to make your contribution to the development of human society,” he stated.

Pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in Montego Bay, Rev. Everton Jackson, addressing the Cornwall School of Nursing graduation ceremony held at the King’s Seventh Day Adventist Church in Mount Salem, St. James recently.

“This is indeed an opportunity for service. I challenge you to serve not for more recognition or for more status but as true servants with humility, devotion and commitment . make sure that you are guided, always by the principle of love in all that you do,” he further encouraged them.
General nursing student, Georgia Johnson-Davis, was named the ‘Nursing Student of 2008’ receiving the coveted Cornwall Nursing School Trophy, in addition to gift packages and accolades.
Approximately 14 graduates, who had outstanding performances in general nursing, post-basic midwifery and basic midwifery, were given special awards for their achievements.
