The Facts

  • Our achievements during this year include surpassing the literacy target of 100 percent mastery at grade four, and significant improvement in Mathematics passes in the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate examination, for the third year in a row.
  • These and other successes are as a result of the support from private sector partners, parents, teachers, and the staff of the Ministry of Education including our Regional Offices and agencies. I also recognize the contribution of Government and Opposition parliamentarians.

As 2015 draws to a close, the Ministry of Education extends appreciation to all who partnered with us to offer Jamaicans of all ages, the opportunity to add value to their lives.
