$1 Million towards Land Titling in West Central St. James

State Minister for Industry, Investment and Commerce, Hon. Sharon Ffolkes-Abrahams, has said that she has dedicated $1 million of her Constituency Development Fund (CDF) towards land titling in her West Central St. James constituency.
The State Minister, who was making her contribution to the 2012/13 Sectoral Debate in the House of Representatives on Tuesday (July 18), informed that the process will be undertaken in conjunction with the Land Administration and Management Programme (LAMP).
“We will be undertaking training of young persons to render assistance to navigate the LAMP process, so that constituents of West Central St. James will become land owners in this our Jubilee year. We have four Operation PRIDE sites in the constituency and we are making representation to transfer titles to all qualified persons,” she stated.
Mrs. Ffolkes-Abrahams said that dwelling in peace and security is part of the Jubilee message hence, she will be working with the Citizen, Security and Justice Programme (CSJP), particularly in Granville and Mount Salem, and with the Dispute Resolution Foundation (DRF) and the Restorative Justice Programme (RJP) on peace initiatives in her constituency.
