‘Science in the Gardens’, which was originally scheduled for November 2016, will be held this Thursday (February 16) at the Hope Botanical Gardens, St. Andrew, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The event, organised by the Scientific Research Council (SRC), will feature activities for all ages.
These include essay, oratory, poster, photography and performing arts competitions, exhibitions, tour of the Chinese Gardens, and science and technology demonstrations and treasure hunt.
Coordinator for Science and Technology Education at the SRC, Amanda McKenzie, told JIS News that the exposition is intended to “popularise science, technology and innovation by promoting an interest and awareness in its value to development and employment, and generating opportunities for the youth.”
Attendees will be able to engage with scientists including winners from the 2016 Science and Technology Innovation Awards.
