Jamaica’s tourism industry attracted significant local and foreign investments totaling over 500 million dollars in 2015. The country also remained on course to record another year of strong visitor arrivals.

Facilitating ready, timely access to official information remains a key objective of the Government, and several measures were undertaken during 2015 to accomplish this goal. We recap these and other developments in the information portfolio for the year 2015.

Improving energy efficiency, increasing access to ICT and the reopening of ALPART were some of the major achievements of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Energy and Mining last year.
