The Black River lower Morass wetland in St. Elizabeth is a renowned natural wonder. Well-known as the largest freshwater wetland ecosystem in Jamaica and the Caribbean, the lower morass covers some 14 thousand acres.It is the home of rich indigenous flora, and fauna, with several of the species being endemic to Jamaica.
