Over 14 thousand Jamaicans get the opportunity to work on the overseas employment programme in Canada and the United States annually.The temporary movement overseas of one or more family members may put a strain on family relationships.The Ministry of Labour and Social Security has sought to mitigate the negative effects of this situation through the implementation of a functional integrated family services programme.
