The Full Story

Attorney-at-law and Chief Executive Officer of Pulse Investments Limited, Kingsley Cooper, has been appointed chairman of the revamped Entertainment Advisory Board (EAB).

This was disclosed by Minister of Tourism and Entertainment, Hon. Dr. Wykeham McNeill (May 3), during a press briefing at the Ministry’s New Kingston offices.

He informed that the 17-member entity will convene its first meeting within the next two weeks.

The board, according to the Minister, will seek to strengthen public-private partnership with a view to maximising the contribution of the industry to economic and social development.

It will also provide advice to the Ministry regarding key issues and strategies, specifically on the development of an entertainment industry policy, and facilitate the engagement of entertainment industry stakeholders in the policy-making process.

State Minister in the Ministry, Hon. Damian Crawford, said the EAB is an all-encompassing entity, representing individuals from various areas of the entertainment industry, including film, music, and dance.
