Members of the public will be able to view the body of late President of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), Captain Horace Burrell, at the National Arena on Tuesday (June 27) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Making the announcement at a press conference at the University of the West Indies (UWI) on Monday (June 26), Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Hon. Olivia Grange, informed that no photographs will be allowed at the public viewing.

“No photographs will be allowed, but you can come and take your last look at the Captain,” she said.

Minister Grange informed that the Service of Thanksgiving for Captain Burrell will be held at the National Arena on Wednesday, June 28, starting at 10:00 a.m.

The service, which will be open to the public, will feature musical tributes from Ritchie Stephens, Ernie Smith, Carlene Davis, and Ken Boothe, among others.

The interment will be a private affair.

The thanksgiving service is expected to be attended by Governor-General, His Excellency the Most Hon. Sir Patrick Allen; Prime Minister the Most Hon. Andrew Holness; Leader of the Opposition, Dr. Peter Phillips; as well as other officials.

The 67-year-old late JFF President died on June 6 after a period of illness.
