Prime Minister Signs Bid Documents for World Cup Cricket Tomorrow

Prime Minister P. J. Patterson will sign bid documents for the 2007 World Cup Cricket matches tomorrow (Monday, May 3).
The signing will take place in the Prime Minister’s Conference Room, Office of the Prime Minister, at 9:30 a.m.
At a Jamaica House press conference on April 22, the Prime Minister disclosed that Sabina Park and a proposed site at Greenfield in Trelawny would bid to host matches during the 2007 World Cup Cricket competition.
Mr. Patterson told journalists that as the first option, the bids would propose that finals and quarter finals be played at Sabina Park in Kingston and that preliminary and warm-up matches be played at the Greenfield site in Trelawny.
