Prime Minister Signs Condolence Book for the late ANR Robinson

Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller signs the condolence book for the late former Prime Minister and President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, the Honourable Arthur ‘ANR’ Robinson who passed away on Wednesday, April 9. The Prime Minister visited the High Commission Office in Kingston on Monday, April 14 to pay her respects to the former Prime Minister and President. Looking on is Dr. Iva Gloudon, Trinidad and Tobago High Commissioner to Jamaica. Prime Minister Simpson Miller said “Trinidad and Tobago has lost a giant of a human being, a distinguished leader and Statesman, and the Caribbean, a true son of our regional community.” Mrs. Simpson Miller described ANR Robinson as one of the Caribbean’s most accomplished leaders who fought vigorously and advocated strongly for the sovereign rights of his countrymen and the Caribbean people and his stewardship and leadership roles contributed significantly to the Caribbean integration movement.
