The President, who was participating in a floral tribute at the statue of South American Liberator and Venezuelan Revolutionary Leader, Simón Bolívar today (September 6), interacted with the community members, much to their delight, following the event. The tribute preceded the official opening of the Simón Bolívar Cultural Centre in downtown Kingston. The centre, a gift from the Venezuelan Government to Jamaica, symbolises 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
